UNDER OTHERING:

The concept othering or otherness has so much significance in our daily lives as we are always ''othering'' people without even realizing .We tend to think that other people's lives and how they live their lives is sometimes weird and that's controversial because we are different as people and we do things differently. This touches down to what I went through 2years back, because at home we have a traditional healer we obviously have the clothing suited for that .So this one time we washed the clothing and obviously from a black home we put some of the clothes on the outside wall so that the clothes can dry quicker, it was by shock when my one of the clothes that we placed on the wall fell to our neighbor's side and one minute one of the kids in that house picked up the clothing with a piece of toilet paper as if the clothing was from a dumping site.

That situation made me very uncomfortable because it opened my eyes about how other people actually perceive you and what they think you should become. Advice to everyone: treat people with the same respect you want to be treated with ,respect their culture and everything that concerns their belief. NEVER JUDGE, NEVER MAKE AN ASSUMPTION. Just stop otherness.
