I hear the annoying sound of my alarm that usually wakes me up in the morning. I got out of bed and prepared to go to campus. I was not in a hurry since I was not late and I stay on campus and walking to class takes me less that 15 minutes. After taking a shower I got dressed and left for my class. 

On my way to class I guessed it was rush hour because students where moving around like busy ants. I got to class and the class was already full. I sat down and listened to the lecturer talking. After class I went back to res since that was the only class I had.

I gotback to res and took a nap since I was tired.

In my household I was thought to always respect elders and whenever someones mothers is calling for me or asking for my help I should help them. I was also taught about my clan names, so in my clan names theres a surname called Mazibuko and I was told that they are my relatives and they come after us.

Creating difference is to have a different view or your own view which is different from the way people view it. It also associates with having assumptions about something you are not sure of. For example thinking that all white people do not understand isiZulu while you have not meet all whites.

For example when Chimamanda Ngozi wrote the Dangers of a single story. She wrote how her Western friend viewed Africa. In the Dangers of a single story Chimamandas friend was shocked to know that Chimamanda can use an iron because in her mind or where she comes from, she formed her own idea of Africans which is they do not have electronics. This is steriotyping which is viewing people different because of your own beliefs.

There was a time where I thought or viewed France as this country that was beautiful all throughout and I thought there was no crime e.g getting robbed. I never been to France but because of social media I had already formed an idea that France is this holistic, ideal country. I also thought most of Venda people had a bad odour or bad armpit smell because of the few Venda people I met . I was steriotyping Venda people. I formed my own idea or view without meeting the rest of the Venda people.

I have come to realise that viewing people or having an idea about something or someone without knowing more of them is crooked. And that you can have a view about something but also view it from different angles and one should be open minded in order to avoid creating difference or othering.
