South Africa is a country with many rich diversity. South Africa has many ethnic groups. I belong to the tsonga ethnic group. As a tsonga person there are many  teachings/beliefs to us as a community. Since there are many I chose two which are  Ubuntu or humanity and spiritual beliefs

Growing up as a tsonga person I wad taught Ubuntu from a very young age. Ubuntu or humanity emphasis on relationships within the community, mutual respect the older person should respect the younger person, it is believed respect goes both ways and helping each other. As a tsonga person I view the world as a system that needs each part to fully operate.

Spiritual beliefs are common among the black south african ethnic groups. As a black tsonga person I have spiritual beliefs like ancestors and Christianity. Some people only believe in ancestors while others believe in Christianity. I believe in both Christianity and ancestors, as a result i view the world like it has two realities.

Networks in a person are very important as they provide various things in a person’s life. Networks in my life provide relationships, interactions and experiences I and provide the the same in that person’s Network.

The first network in my life is my family, as I person who was raised in a huge African family with people from four different generations they offered me support in everything, knowledge from their times in exchange I offered them support in my own way it might not be the same as their support but it’s still something and I offered the older people in my family the knowledge I got from my books. The second network is my friendship networks. As age mates born in this generation we understand each other better than our parents or family members, so we offer each other emotional support, give each other advice, share experiences with each other and knowledge sharing. The third on is my school network as a first year student in university this network is important as I need all the support I can get. This network consists of my classmates and lectures. The lectures offer us information, my classmates we study together and share resources. Lastly my online network, in this day and each the internet has become a very important aspect in our lives. In the online network we exchange information, advice and also build online relationships
