In every culture, there have been in teaching and beliefs that are d established, making the standpoint and actions of its members. Within my ethnic group, two such as beliefs have significantly influenced my worldview, offering insights into how i perceive the world and interact with others. The importance of Ubuntu, come from southern African philosophy, ubuntu interconnect and the essential humanity of individuals.it emphasizes the idea that i am because we are, highlighting the profound interdependence between people.This concept instils a sense of communal responsibility ,encouraging empathy ,compassion ,and mutual support within society .Growing up with ubuntu as a guiding principle ,i have learned to value relationship ,prioritize community well-being ,and approach conflict with understanding and reconciliation rather than hostility .ubuntu teaches us that our actions have ripple effect, impacting not only ourselves but also those around us ,fostering a sense of unity and collective identity. Respect for elders and ancestors in many cultures including mine, reverence for elders and ancestors is deeply embedded in societal norms and practices. This belief underscores the importance of honouring the wisdom, experiences and contributions of previous generation. It involves listening to elders' counsel, preserving cultural traditions, and paying homage to ancestors through rituals and ceremonies. This reverence fosters sense of continuity, connecting us to our roots and providing a foundation for identity and belonging. By respecting our elders and ancestors, we acknowledge our interconnect Ness across time, recognising that we are part of broader narrative shaped by those who came before us .This belief instils humility, gratitude, and a deep sense of heritage, guiding our actions with reverence and respect for those who paved the way. These two teachings, ubuntu and respect for elders and ancestors, have profoundly influenced my worldview, shaping how i navigate relationships, approach challenges ,and perceive my place in the world .They remind me of the power of community ,the importance of heritage, the interconnected of all humanity by embracing these beliefs ,i strive to embody values of empathy, compassion and humility seeking to contribute positively to collective wellbeing of society while honouring the wisdom of those who came before me.

My family is a blended family because we have family members who are not our relatives who we are staying with at home. We are not that much more at home.my family is blended because  my father and my mother had a divorce long time ago.so I am staying with my father because of this lobola thing in Zulu it a tradition.so me and my elder sister we were forced to stay with our father .We were staying with my father and when the time goes on he go a new wife and that wife was having four children that she got before meeting with my father.Since her children are still young they came to stay with us at home.we were staying in and informal settlement where there are lot of shacks ,rubbish ,dusty .The other thing about this place is that the people who were living there are the ones who were not working so there was a lot of poverty.That area we were not having roads,toilet ,clean running water ,clinics and schools are too far to the place we were staying. My father was working in the mines so everything was going well even though we were staying in are bad area .When the time goes on my father lost his job so he came back at home .but he tries to look for another job but badly he wasn't able to find job be as of his age and because he was uneducated, so that was the other trouble he have . He came with an idea of that my stepmother must also look for the job so that we can survive. Likely she got a job so she was working as domestic worker .The place where she was working she was also working with my uncle the younger brother of my father.So as they were working in the same place their kinship became to strong a way that he also come to our house to eat dinner with us. Sometimes he even  come with groceries since he knows that my father is not working, he was trying to help but my father got jealous of their relationship he go again to look for a job Likely he got it .but the kinship of my stepmother and uncle didn't change .So my uncle decided to come and stay with us because he was not having an area to stay so we were too many to stay in a small two room shack.it was so difficult because we don't find privacy the other thing that was a problem we were lacking infrastructure, there were no toilets, roads .but the biggest trouble was water and the school because we have to travel for a long way .My family was always blaming government for their suffering because after apartheid ended he promised people freedom and  a better future ,but there don't see that .there were struggling more .People in my settlement were always  boycotting but only to find out that nothing will change .they are still living in apartheid time.
