I've learnt many things from where I come from which is Vaal in Gauteng which shockingly taught me to never trust people outside my family with important details of anything I'm doing and to always be wary of people's intentions with information about my life or any important things I'm doing in my life otherwise they may tamper with or even ruin my chances of success in said important thing the second is to all represent your house well never dress or act in a way that would make people look at you or your family in an unbecoming Manner always make sure you're well kept and are respectful to your fellow man
My Social networks vary in size , quality and quantity but all serve a necessary purpose in my life and without them I'd have a rather mundane existence the first one will be my family the first network I ever had, my maternal side which is the one I'm most familiar with and have spent the most time around from my grandparents where advice to keep pursuing studies and how to deal with any disagreements I have with my mother and awkward love is shared, then we have my aunt who's a second mother as I've always called her mom and she's always been a guiding light whenever troubles arose and was the most instrumental in teaching right from wrong and is an example of doing all you can for those you love with what little you have then we have my cousins whom for the longest time felt my age where we'd constantly argue to now me actually feeling a responsibility to take care of them and ensure they enjoy being teenagers , then we have both my parents whom helped for better or worse build my behaviors and shaped how I want to behave which is as a stark contrast to both of them in regards to certain situations and I being the their pride and joy more for my mom as I'm her only son , now we look at the paternal side which I see less as it's only during the December holidays and all of them all help give me a different perspective to my normal network as my grandmother and aunts and uncles all preach the importance of school and are always amazed at my growth or how tall I've gotten since they last saw me and my cousins are my lens to what night life is like and what joy it can bring while also telling me of the troubles of uni life it's always a nice perspective while I struggle with bettering my Sepedi and needing translations from said cousins, we then have my friendship circle at home in Vaal where they are people whom I've shared many a great experience with through school and life as a whole where I get to learn from their experiences as we grow older together and they help bring me back down to reality of what life really is like even through the different directions life has taken us our bonds are still strong as we always find ourselves laughing and sitting and reminiscing about the past fun we've had together and what we plan for the future in our many fields, then the friends made her in Potch serve as a completely different lens into what life is like for other people, where they are from how their lives worked before making the journey to potchefstroom while we all try and make sense of this crazy place and the course we all chose and the different modules and our varying degrees of success in each
