Title: Exploring Connections: A Contemplation on Everyday Relationships and Transactions
In the busy patterns of our everyday routines, we frequently fail to notice the complex connections of family and trade that surround us. Motivated by the knowledge acquired from Unit 4 of my studies, focusing on South African contexts, I began a process of reflection to understand the workings of my personal connections. Who are the people who inhabit them? In what way do I connect with them? What trades drive the rhythms of our interactions?
Family is at the core of my network. They are the reliable pillars, the constant source of support that keeps me stable during challenges. From the everyday expression of loving words to the enjoying of meals rooted in family customs, our connections are the foundation of my life. From a warm embrace to a spirited discussion, these interactions strengthen family bonds, fostering a deep sense of connection that endures through time and space.
Outside of familial connections, my network expands to close friends who have become an important part of the fabric of my life. Every friendship is a special combination of common experiences, laughter, and mutual assistance. From childhood friends who have seen my growth to new friends who challenge my views, these relationships enhance my journey with different perspectives and strong friendship. Our interactions range from deep discussions where we share our weaknesses to unexpected escapades that inspire us, creating a community based on mutual understanding and compassion.
In my professional life, my network consists of coworkers and mentors who push me towards development and success. They are the cooperative energies that enhance my efforts, providing direction, input, and chances for progress. Through daily connections driven by common objectives and ambitions, we trade information.

Title: Adopting Indigenous Lessons: Influencing Identity and Outlook
Being part of my indigenous community has influenced my beliefs and values, which have been handed down through ancestral teachings over many generations. These lessons not only help me stay connected to my cultural roots but also shape my perspective on life and guide my actions. These two fundamental beliefs have had a deep influence on me.
Our traditional beliefs highlight the importance of having a strong respect and connection with the natural world. We believe that every living being, such as animals, plants, rivers, and mountains, are interlinked and warrant respect. This interconnection helps us stay humble and understand our position in the larger system of life. As I matured, I gained knowledge by watching and studying the patterns and seasons of the environment. This bond with the natural world inspires me to take on the responsibility of safeguarding and preserving the environment through promoting sustainable practices and conservation. It also gives me a feeling of calm and stability, understanding that I am connected to something bigger than just me. The Significance of CommunityAnother core belief in my native culture is the importance of community and the well-being of the group. We prioritize the concept of "us" rather than "I," recognizing that our behaviors can cause widespread consequences within the community. This common way of thinking promotes teamwork, understanding, and unity among people. Being raised in this belief system taught me the significance of helping each other, pooling resources, and rejoicing in our shared accomplishments. It also showed me the importance of inclusivity and diversity, since our community embraces individuals from different backgrounds and perspectives. Today, this belief guides my interactions with others, aiming to create strong connections and make a positive impact on my community, whether it be on a local or global scale.

These teachings from indigenous cultures have influenced not just who I am but also my beliefs, leading me in how to behave.

A day in my life descriptive essay

I wake up to the gentle filtering of the morning sun through the curtains and the soft chirping of birds outside my window. Extending my arms, I can sense the heat of the sun on my skin, urging me to welcome the fresh day. I sit up in bed, greeted by the comforting aroma of freshly brewed coffee coming from the kitchen while letting out a yawn.
Walking on the chilled wooden floor, I head to the kitchen, where the noise of bacon sizzling and coffee bubbling creates a lively atmosphere. The scent of breakfast wafts through my nose, bringing back recollections of laid-back Sunday mornings spent with loved ones. When I taste my coffee for the first time, its strong and intense flavor comes alive on my taste buds, making me more alert and ready for the day.
Following breakfast, I venture out into the lively streets, where the sounds of car horns and people conversing blend together in a urban symphony. The fresh scent of cut grass and blooming flowers is carried by the cool breeze, indicating that spring is in full swing. While I walk, I am able to sense the sensation of the cobblestone under my feet, keeping me present in the moment.
The first place I visit in the morning is the nearby market, where sellers attract customers by showcasing vibrant arrays of fruits and vegetables. I notice the bright colors of ripe strawberries and juicy oranges, and the strong scent of citrus in the air. I chat politely with the sellers, taking part in the traditional practice of negotiating and bargaining.
Afterwards, I rendezvous with some friends at a snug coffee shop, where the smell of recently baked pastries drifts through the air along with the chatter and giggles. We dedicate hours to catching up on each other's lives, exchanging stories, and reminiscing about the past.

Stereotypes about men and women

10 Mar 2024, 21:44 Publicly Viewable

Men have been forced to conform to a traditional and society view of what being a man looks like.

Men are aimed to be stronger ,unemotional , dominant, and in control .

I for one once worked in a construction company(as a woman) ,of which this is a job for for ''MEN'' .I  was treated unfairly and unworthy just because Iam a woman doing a '' men's job''. i earned a low salary because it is believed that a women should earn lesser than a men regardless of their individual qualifications . I had a certificate for this construction job and i had received many accolades for excellent performance in my previous job. This was valid enough for me to earn a much better salary than other employees and regarding the job that i was doing . Due to gender stereotype i did not earn a rightful salary.

Traditionally , women should work in the kitchen , babysit children and that's all ,they are not allowed to work it is, unauthorized. Men are bound to be providers, this has caused a huge strain on a lot of men which often cause a lot of men to feel pressure and some also lead to death because of the high expectations obliged to them.
