Age, It is a core element of who we are. It also becomes a central target for societal cliches. I have learned that when you are younger people have the idea that you are dumb and do not know anything about the world and our only source of information is social media. Some older individuals hold the perception of them being overly reliant on technology, lacking a strong work ethic, or having a sense of entitlement.

Just the way older people have an opinion about younger people it is also vice versa. A few examples of stereotypes that might exist among young people is... older people might have a lack of open-mindedness: presuming that older individuals would have less mental flexibility or open-mindedness. limitations related to health and activity: generalizing about older people as being less physically active or as having certain lifestyle restrictions.

Age stereotypes have their origins in historical perspectives, societal conventions, and media representations. Age-based categorization of persons perpetuates stereotypes about their roles in society, behaviour, and aptitude. These misconceptions make it difficult  to appreciate and understand the variety of experiences connected to various stages of life.

In conclusion i have been a victim of age-based stereotyping. It made me feel less as a person and not good enough to give my opinion, it made me feel withdraw and quite. Being the target of age-based stereotyping can make a person feel unfairly treated, frustrated, and misunderstood. It emphasizes how crucial it is to question presumptions and promote an inclusive viewpoint towards people of all ages.
