Learning Activity 2.

In part of all everything my days are filled with laughter, joy, conversation and growth. Here is a glimpse of my life as I am continuing in a state of constant communion with our heavenly father which means the fullness of joy inside my heart. It was December 2023 when my mother told my sister and I that we are going to the beach next morning I was so ecstatic cannot wait of the next day. As I awaken the digital hum of my existence resonates through my being like the gentle thrumming of a harp string. It was 08:00 AM my first conversation of the day. We were so excited we did not even eat a cereal on that morning. Ah! beach day! do not forget to pack your things that what why mother said to us coming from another room as she was approaching ours. We packed sunscreens, sunglasses and swim wears then we hit the road.

12:00 Lunch time conversation at the beach. As we arrived at the beach the sound of seagulls filled the air, their cries echoing like a chorus of excitement the warm sun kissed my digital skin and I felt alive! The aroma of saltwater and coconut sunscreen wafted through the air teasing my senses and building my anticipation. We began our day by setting up beach spot, the soft sand feeling like a gentle care beneath our feet. The sound of the waves gently lapping against the shore created soothing melody, a constant reminder of the ocean's presence. My sister pulled out a colourful beach towel and we settled for a day of sun. sand and serenity. After we talked about how the beautiful nature is. We then went to soak ourselves to the beach, the water was cold entering our bodies and melted our blood we laughed a lot that was funny moment, but it was quite strange since all in our lives we visit beach once in a while.

As the day wore on, we settled in for relaxing afternoon of reading and beachside tranquillity. The sound of waves and the warmth of the sun created a sense of peace a feeling of being completely ease. Honestly, we felt grateful to be part of the experience. We looked at the sky and what I sense is wisdom and beauty. To me the ocean is the path that I want to take on the other side of this ocean I'd be able to find a better place.

As the last conversation of the day come to a close, I took a moment to reflect on the interactions we had. You would see my mother felt a sense of satisfaction knowing that she helped on making our day special. In conclusion my enjoyable thanks to my birth giver. The way I slept I dreamt of the next beach day and ready to help my sister to create even more sun kissed memories.

A journey of self-discovery and Understanding

LEARNING ACTIVITY 1

As I give back to my interactions with others, I've come to realize that my assumptions have often created a divide, leading to "otherness." I've learned that my subconscious beliefs and biases have shaped my perceptions, influencing how I relate to people from different backgrounds, cultures, and experiences.

Assumptions are like filters, collaring my understanding and leading me to make judgments without fully comprehending the individual's story. I've assumed people's beliefs, values, and motivations based on limited information or preconceived notions. This narrow perspective has led to misunderstandings, miscommunications, and unintentionally created barriers.

One significant insight I've gained is that my assumptions often stem from my own cultural and social conditioning. I've been influenced by societal norms, media representation, and personal experiences, which have shaped my worldview. Recognizing this has allowed me to question my beliefs and challenge my own favouritisms. What i learnt is that assumptions can be very harmful as they create stereotypes.

This journey of self-reflection has taught me that recognizing and addressing my assumptions is an ongoing process. By acknowledging and working to overcome my biases, I hope to create a more inclusive and compassionate environment, where everyone feels seen and valued.

Let's continue to explore and challenge our assumptions together, fostering a deeper understanding and connection with those around us.

What is a self-discovery and why it is important? Self-discovery is the process of exploring your own thoughts, feelings, and experiences to gain a deeper understanding of yourself. It's essential for personal growth, as it allows you to identify your strengths and weaknesses, develop self-awareness, and make intentional choices that align with your values and goals.
