When I woke up in the morning the first thing I did was open my windows for fresh air. I started to make my bed and got ready to take a shower as I had a class in the morning. I went to the bathroom washed my face then got into the shower to bath. After taking a shower I went to my room I lotioned my body and decided  what I am going to wear then ironed my clothes. I made cereal to eat breakfast and I waited for our shuttle to arrive. I got to campus and it was packed, I went and sat by the student center waiting for my class time. Then later went to class and it was very interesting and progressive. After class I had a meeting with my group members to discuss the assignment we were engaging nicely and then the meeting adjourned. I got ready to go back to my residence. When I got to res I made something to eat then I took nap. When I woke up I had a quiz that was due so I did it and it went pretty well. I decided to make something small to eat and prepare for my next day.

The writer of "How to Write about Africa," Wainana brought attention to the Western preference to portray  and blend the diverse continent by simplifying its history into a single tale of desperation and poverty. This helped me understand how frequently I might have bought to basic narratives and missed the complexity and diversity of various cultures and communities.

Miner's studies on the Nacirema people highlighted the danger of viewing others through a perspective of one's own culture, which can result in misunderstandings and the maintenance of biases. It caused me to doubt the reality of my own presumptions regarding strange customs or beliefs and the significance of trying to comprehend something before drawing judgments. As I've thought about these works, I've come to see how important it is to face and acknowledge my biases in order to promote empathy and sincere understanding.
