stereotypes are ideas that are used to characterize a group which mainly can be revolved around negative views which can be used to discriminate a specific group of people. stereotypes are shaped are shaped by a variety of things such as  culture ,tradition ,beliefs and social media in this generation.

some stereotypes are generational and are planted in kids like saying women are not strong and they should not look into jobs that require strength which is completely wrong .social media is very huge platform of circulating such stereotypes which is then spread from one person to another .anthropology has taught me that we look at the world with one view so creating a story about a certain group or an entire culture can be inaccurate. stereotypes that are mostly put out there are about african people  that african people are lazy to work where by africa has a very huge impact on the primary activities so this shows that stereotypes are based on false factual statement.

stereotypes tend to structure how we think about a certain group and can affect how people live with one another if they posses differences in how they look where they from and what they are .
