Lesson 1: Reflection
The main purpose of study unit 1.1 is to be able to understand the scientific study of the universe and the Earth with everything associated with it. The key concepts that I learned were the Big Bang theory,Milky Way Galaxy , Solar System and Goldilocks zone. Mostly important Ive learnt about why the earth is regarded or referred to as a Goldilocks zone .The relevant thing in this study unit is the shape of the earth, the laws of planetary movement, the movement of all the planets around the sun and the distance of the earth from the sun.
The different aspects that were interesting the most, firstly, was learning about the origin of the universe. Secondly, it was learning about the different types of planets, their characteristics and categories in our solar system. Thirdly, was the formation of the sun and the solar system. Lastly, was the part where the Earth was referred to as the Goldilocks zone, because it has just right conditions to sustain life.
What I find most difficult was to understand the laws about the motion of planetary movement. Another difficulty was understanding the complex process behind the formation of all the eight planets.
Hence in my reflection on my learning experiment in this study unit I would enjoy exploring more about astronomy.
