The Geo Squad Lesson 1

Reflection In this study unit,

We learned about the basic concepts of Geography. We explored the different physical Geography which studied natural geography and the universe as a whole, also the achievements of different geographers (Scientists). The role, tasks and development of scientists were highlighted, we also learned about the different methods the used to observe and analyse the earth. We learned about the size and structure of the earth, the galaxies and the solar system. We talked about the reasons why the earth doesn’t fall out of the orbit and how gravity works. The significance of the Newton’s studies of gravity, which helped us understand how the same force controls both falling objects on earth and the motion of planets. The goldilocks Zone was discussed, showing why the earth is able to support life. Overall, the unit helped us understand where the earth’s place is in the universe and the different kinds of scientist’s laws.

Which aspect did we find most interesting?

We found the Goldilocks zone and the solar system most interesting because it explains why earth is the only planet known that can support life

What did we find most difficult?

We found understanding all the different laws from different scientist difficult to remember and their discoveries as there were many names and discoveries to remember.
