Reflection

1.

The main purpose of the study is the origin of the universe.

And one of the lessons we learned was about the differences and groups of the planets.

We learned about the movements of the planets in the solar system.

The location of the earth in the universe.

We learned of the different scientists and their discoveries in planetary movement.

This study unit is relevant in the context that it gives more detail on how our solar system works.

It shows the connection between discoveries.

It gives a better understanding of all characteristics and how to differentiate each planet.

It serves as a foundation for astrology.

It explains the uniqueness of the earth’s atmosphere.

2. Which aspect of the study unit did you find interesting or enjoy the most?

I really enjoyed learning about the Goldilocks planet and Johannes Kepler's laws of planetary movement. The idea that Earth is called the Goldilocks planet because it has just the right conditions to support life, like the right distance from the Sun and enough water. It helped me to understand why Earth is so special compared to other planets.

I found Kepler's laws interesting because they explain how the planets move around the Sun in elliptical paths, not perfect circles. His work makes me see that planetary movement follows patterns and rules.

3. What did you find most difficult?

- The most difficult part of the Study unit 1.1 was understanding the movement of the Earth and the planets around the Sun. It was hard to picture how each planet rotates on its axis while also orbiting the Sun at different speeds and distances. I struggled with the idea that the farther a planet is from the Sun, the longer it takes to complete one orbit.
