1. Review : Unit 3

Topic : processing information using sources

what i have learned about the topic

I have learned there are initial reading strategies that helps to interact with the source efficiently such as scanning whereby you quickly page through the text to locate that specific information other than reading through the whole text.skimming saves time helps you understand the text better, when skimming a chapter that helps you prepare for your next class.you read to get a general idea of what the text is about.

what i did not understand

at first i did not understand how to construct paragraphs and what was the purpose of the main idea but after we went through the essay that the lecture gave to us, i understood it more better and that made things a little clear to me.

what i did and did not enjoy about the topic

i enjoyed it when we highlighted some information on the essay that the lecture gave to us.it gave me a clear understanding on how to construct my sentences when writing an academic essay and how to put paragraphs together.

what i did not understand about the topic

I still do not understand how to spot if the sentence its based on fact, opinion or informed opinion.
