what possibly made some learners uncomfortable during the activities
Some learners were uncomfortable because of the lyrical content of a zulu song they did not understand and again having to dance in front of their opposite gender
why were some learners uncomfortable?
Some learners felt uncomfortable dancing to house music as it is against their religion to listen to such music.
can you think of ways to adress these issues in future?
Learners are going to be taught the importance of gender equality, that a girl and a boy are both humans, and none of them should ever be made feel unfree, more especially in the classroom. They should understand that they have to collaborate and engage in activities without feeling shy.
Another thing that will change is the selection of music in the classroom, learners are going to be given options to chose from according to their best interest.
how can we accomodate diverse learners profiles in our classroom? Whst must be aware of?
The teacher must be aware of learning styles, abilities and interests of every learner in the classroom so that when allowing movement in the classroom, it can be allowed according to such kind of groups.
Another thing a teacher should be aware of is students linguistic traits, try to use multicultural books and materials to foster cross-cultural understanding moreover the teacher should promote individual student understanding of their own giftedness.

Beat and accent – beat can be for example foot taps, and when beat is prominent it is called accent
Meter – it is the grouping of beats, it can be identified with the accent
Timbre- is the quality of sound made by a voice or musical instrument

important aspect to keep in mind when planning foundation phase lesson
- Make sure that learners will be able to engage in free- movement and that they will be able to manipulate materials to understand new knowledge. Furthermore though the lesson , learners have to be able to show understanding by giving out few alike ideas.
Value of utilising art integration and play in the foundation phase lesson
Through art integration learners will be able to express their emotion and it is very good as it is a confidence booster and through play learners will engage with each other and build strong relationships.
perception regarding lesson planning and inclusion of music
I now know that for music in the foundation phase , one need to be selective. There should always be music at the beginning and end of lesson. For songs, I should rather for music learners will be able to engage than just listen to.

Art integration in foundation phase is not a waste of time because motions involved in art like sribbling with crayons is essential to the growth of fine motor skills in young children and through art they get an oopportunity to learn words for colours , shapes and actions.
On this study unit i found the value of art intregration part interesting because through it i learned the importance of art integration in the foundation phase. But the theoretical framework for music integration was challenging especially when coming to learners learning about music where they have to identify music concepts from listening to songs.
