I learnt about the developmental stages of foundation phase learners and how theories that theorists think children learn according to their research. Erickson focuses on the social interaction and relationships on learning, Piaget believes that children learn by interacting with the world and build new knowledge based on existing skills and knowledge whereas Vygotsky emphasises the importance of social interaction and language development. I also learned about the music concepts that children can understand when they are between the ages of 5-11 years and all the benefits of music education.
