The introduction of this module has been a light in my educational journey. Having to learn about the varies aspects that music can touch in the life of a student has really been eye opening and an experience that I was not aware of. The entry to this module was one that I was afraid of because of a lack of understanding and the lack of knowledge about the subject it's self being music. The exploration of this module only made my mind wonder about the possibilities of how education can change a corner in the way we do things and build a new identity that includes art Intergration within the curriculum of the South Africa educational system.

The first unit being holistic development was an introduction to how things can be implemented and how different aspects of education can come together and make one engine that can create a holistic student in this modern day of education. The understanding of holistic development is one that a teacher like myself must understand and be able to apply in my daily routine at work as this is a foundation builder to having learners that are multifaceted and have a wide range of understanding. Listening and responding to music was a topic that was interesting and we'll organised and explained as this unit broke down the need for understanding music and the need to understand the language of music and how to respond to it accordingly. The teaching and understanding of musical elements to what they mean and what they represent in a music sheet is a language that one must understand before being able to respond back to someone and this for me was an eye opening adventure that I would have also like to learn as younger student for me to be better versed in musical Knowledge at this day and age. The playing of musical instruments in the foundation phase was also a unit that was unexpected as one will never connect music to teaching in the foundation phase. When the unit broke down the way in which this holds an advantage for learners and also for the teacher aswell was an Ideal that I as a teacher also would like to persue in order for me to see the results for myself. Learning about the genre's of play and how they incorporate education within exercise was a great way to understand this unit. Art Intergration was the bedrock of this module as I believe that with the implementation of of this unit there will be a diverse culture in the educational system of South Africa. The new teaching strategies that will be implemented will be the foundation for future learners and teacher to take from and apply as thier own. The lesson planning was an important part for me as a teacher to know and understand what is required of me to be the best teacher for my students and to have the best working material that will enhance my students knowledge and skills within the subject of musical Knowledge. It made me realise the work that has to be put in and the amount of attention one has to put in to give back the best product of your self and your work.

This module was one that I needed to read and needed to know as this is a revolutionary subject that can change the face of education not just locally but international too. It is a module that I as a teacher can Implement when I am a contacted teacher further my student's academics and knowledge of new avenues to teacher and obtain information and this for me was an exceptional experience and informative module that I will take with me to the future of my teaching career.

For a teacher to be structured, orderlike and discipline a lesson plan is what a teacher needs to be the best possible teacher he/she could be. In teach a lesson plans gives a teacher guidelines to what they should do, how they should do and when they should do it. This places in a place of peace knowing that your work is on time and up to date for your supervisors and your learners to be in the best possible position to be successful.

Lesson plans demonstrate a teacher depth of knowledge of the content and the lesson supposed to be taught in the foundation phase. When a teaching music in the foundation phase one has to be very well versed in the material and very understanding and knowlable in the time it is going to take for learners to be performing at the level best in the music subject. The introduction of musical play and musical Knowledge needs a teacher who has a plan of what to teach first and how long such a topic is going to take before it is fully understood by the learners. The incorporation of games art Intergration strategies and active engagement is only going to be a task for the teacher to incorporate thisbin the lesson play without self knowledge of the work, the amount of time it needs and the amount of attention which topics needs then the rest of your topics and this is something a teacher must be familiar with.

Planning a musical lesson a teacher must be able to know what musical instruments are going to be needed what other musical material are goi g to be needed to aid the learners and the variety of teaching activities that the learners must perform to evaluate their knowledge of the topic and what they ha e been working on from the lesson plan. Teacher must be able to be inclusive in the lesson plan, not only focus on the kids that are more developed musically but also give the same attention to the students that need the lesson plan to work in thier favour and this is a task that the teacher take I to account where ever they are lesson planning.

Lesson planning is an integral part of a musical lesson. Having to take into account everything that a teacher needs to prepare, the lesson plan will only make it easier for you as teacher to control your work and have a structured frame in how your are going to roll out your lesson. Teacher have to be encouraged in making lesson plans and bring in everything necessary to make thier lesson plan productive and successful and this is the benchmark of a great teacher and a great lesson.

The learning of music is a uphill battle on its know and the study of musical play only goes hand in hand with this study of music. Learners have the opportunity to be the best of the best in musical play and musical Knowledge in the foundation phase as the earlier the start of practice the better for the students to become greater they they can even imagine through daily practice.

The characteristics of play and the identifying of sound is a topic that should be focused on from the foundation phase of teaching as these are basics of music that learners must know before going any level further in music. The role of music play and the meaning it hold in the connection with subjects is only of greater good for the subject and the practical part of the subject. To be able to connect a subject with music is only a way that makes a subject much more interesting and interactive with the students as this will be a new avenue for them to express themselves in a more lighter situation.

The value of the genres of music can only diversify your classroom into knowing who like what and who can play what. With music coming with alot of modes a person interest in a gener can tell you more about a learner and further can introduce you to a whole new way in looking at educating that specific learner. Diversity in class is needed and the understand of what  musical play can do in the foundation phase is only to create a positive feeling and positive ways of dealing with music on the classroom.

Musical play in the foundation phase is a study that has to be focused upon and opened for discussion as the posivites of this study out weigh the negatives it can produce. Learner with knowledge of musical play in foundation phase can only become mainstream learners in music and focus on the craft more then other unnecessary subjects they don't like or excell in. Musical play should be introduced and should be made a priority for learners to explore a different side of education and further find a home  in musical play from an early age as this can only be an advantage for then going Into higher phases of education as this will seperate them from the ones that still needs to develop to them who can be help themselves to thier fellow peers.

The awareness of music is of paramount importance for learners at a young age. This help with all around development of thier psychology. Listening and being able to respond to music not only puts you in a different level as another learner who does not but puts you in equilibrium with the level of the world. Music is a tool that is used to create messages, create meaning and further to build cognitive knowledge through sound and this is a skill that every learner deserves to have.

The knowledge of the types of music and musical elements that are available in the world is only an advantage for a learner to have. Many great teachers in the world taught development via music as this was another modern way to educate learner not only through print knowledge but through musical Knowledge as music has its own language too that people must understand. When a lear we know the difference between pitch of music, texture of sound and intensity of the music  this can only development thier knowledge of music and connectivity of sound and life better.

Topics such as duration, rhythm , timbre, tempo and dynamic are the foundation of music knowledge and being able to listen and respond to music. The knowledge of these topic are the beginning of music and a learner must familiarise themselves with these topics before continuing with music development. These are the topics that bring meaning to sound and that hold conversation between understanding and responding, without the knowledge of these topics one can be lost easily in the conversation of music.

The knowledge of music is a task that every teacher and parent should introduce to thier children's life. Music builds relationships and understanding that only the people who understand can talk but and for this you are truly in a exclusive club. The teaching of music via responding and understanding should be priority for school and be focused on daily as this is a development that can not be done once a week but everyday for the betterment of the student and the process of the musical Knowledge and for this o can support and say musical Knowledge is a important part in a learners academic life for development and nd better understanding.

When learners need further development we as reach have to look at thier progress as determine where they are physically and cognitively. Holistic development is the bench mark for such a process as holistic development gives us an Idea of where the learner is and where the still room for improvement. Erikson stages of development is one example of this where he records the stages from birth, teenage and adult hood. The knowledge of these stages will allow you to ha e an informed decision in where your learner is psychologically and how far he/she still needs to grow before fully developed.

Piaget cognitive development theory is one also with the same results as it was made to help  with where the learners interaction with the world is and this can help them build knowledge from where they are prior knowledge to where they want to be at in a later stage of thier life. In Piaget concrete operational stage learners develop their ability to think logically about concrete events. This stage also shows the ability of a learner to solve problems related to conservation and reversibility. This is a tool that all teachers and parents must be familiar with in order for them to keep track of where thier child is cognitively.

Holistic development was not only made for grading but for advice in what new Implementations that can be added in order to make a learner a holistic academic and being in this earth. The world has plenty of challenges that learners must think for themselves and further solve those problems by themselves without no help like the zone of proximal development. This is a good things to be able to do for learners but at a point they have to challenge the world by themselves and holistic development is the foundation of such a culture

New Ideas and methods of learning are introduced decade by decade to help learners maximize their potential for learning and enhancing their skills. Art Intergration is one such method that has been introduced to include all learners in activities that they could have never had the opportunity to think about before. This is an approach that engages student's to form a creative mindset and allows them to display thier skills to the best of their knowledge and how they are capable of expressing themselves without any boundaries or structures that confine them.

The place that art Intergration has on the learners is deep and fond as this method of learning only contributes to their confidence and works on their abilities and works on them to make it better then before.Teachers have to design a lesson plan that includes art Intergration that will build students awareness of nature, creativity in music creation and the solving of problems by using critical thinking solutions. Art Intergration supports basic reading skills, literacy and writing. These are components that are very important for the development of a competent and cognitive learner who has to be operating at the best of their abilities at each component.

Learning about the different aspects that art Intergration offers is beneficial for any learner. Aspects such as music are the foundation of each and every person as all of us by culture or by community we are connected with music. When we learn about music we learn about our history we learn about how was music created and how the different sections of music came about. Learning about music aspects like tempo, pitch , rhythm will definitely development our musical sense as these are things that are around us on a daily basis and being able to dissect them and be knowledgeable about them will only be an advantage for learners. When asking learners to form groups and creates melodies or sit as individuals and create lyrics that are supposed to fit a specific song only creates wonder and thought to how they can create something that is not only better then the people in their class but a product that they themselves can be proud to say they had a hand in creating it. This draws competitive fire and makes the learners take action of their work and they are the ones that will want to submit the best possible song forward to the teacher.

Art Intergration is only an advantage for learners to practice is schools. It is for the better of their cognitive abilities is is for the better for them to be creative learners and critical thinkers.  Art Intergration not only puts ahead a new method of thinking but vlcreates new type of learners for the future that are knowledgeable about aspects that the before generation could only want to know. This will build understanding that will cover the next generation intellectual and take them into a future that they only can shape and for that art Intergration is for the learners not only for development but for their future too, Thank you.
