HELLO!

I cannot believe this semester has gone by so quickly!

At the start of this module, I was very intimidated by it as I did not know anything about music or how I would teach it to a class. Throughout this module I have come to love it and it has now become my favourite module! I have learnt a lot of new information and skills. My attitude towards this module has completely changed. I can’t wait to include music into my classroom as my daily routine. 

What did you find challenging?

I found that finding time to blog after each study unit and was challenging as a distance student. I would have rather had a test or assignment on each unit. 

What would you change if you had the opportunity in future?

If I could change anything it would be putting more effort into blogging. This year has been extremely challenging and as a distance student there isn’t always time to sit down and blog. 

What did you find interesting and meaningful?

I found that the assignments pushed me to think out of the box and be more creative which I find very meaningful.

What challenged you, and what do you still struggle to understand?

Integrating music into different lessons is what I found most challenging. It is definitely something I will work on as it does make the lesson more fun and it allows learners to be for engaged. 

What didn’t you find valuable for your future teaching practice?

I personally found all the study units and information valuable for future teaching! It was very interesting and fun to plan lessons on music. 

I have enjoyed this module so much and I have gain a lot of knowledge on music.
