Unit1
During the week in the LSKM content it was about the three learning theories.
1.Erikson's theory which is based on interpersonal sorroundings that shapes the development of a child. the theory has eight stages of development which are:
a) trust vs mistrust ( 0-1year)
b) autonomy vs shame and doubt (2-3 years)
c) initiative vs guilt (3-5 years)
d) Industry vs inferiority (6- 12 years)
e) search for identity vs role confusion ( adolescence)
f) Intimacy vs isolation (young adulthood)
g) generativity vs stagnation ( old age)
2. Vygotsky's theory which is based on social and cultural integration rather than exclusively through communicative interactions.
3. Piaget's cognitive theory where he introduced three concepts which are scaffolding, egocentric and the zone of proximal development.
The zone of proximal refers to the difference between what a learner can do without assistance or support , and what a learner can do individually. Children learn differently because they are not the same which means they should acquire knowledge and interpret it the way they see it. I believe that learners develop through music while dancing, singing and more. That can help children to learn another language if they sing a song in another language. Music can make the classroom atmosphere interesting so they learners can always be happy. It can also promotes learner's self esteem as well as self confidence because everyone works together and is not shown individually.
Music is new to me but I guess as I learn along the way it will increase new skills.
