In my phase that am teaching which is foundation phase .I learned that music is diverse and inclusive in education. Holistic teaching is practiced in everyday of our school. We engaging them in:
- Music games
- Rhyming
- Body percussion
- Music helps them to calm and relax
We also intergrade subject with music, we make learning to be joyful with music, in the beginning of the lesson we sing and in the middle and the end , we also dance rhyme and do all sorts of activities that makes learners to enjoy the lesson. Children with barriers do not feel neglected they are also accommodated they connect with the music and the dancing. Music is diverse and inclusive in education. Allows teachers to teach holistically learners also use their senses .Music in promotes group work motivates and improves the memory of learners. Teaching music to learners in their early age it helps them to be knowledgeable, skillful, sociable and good personality.

What could the possible reason be that assessment is neglected in Performing Arts and Music in the Foundation Phase
I personally think it neglected because most of our educators lack knowledge and skills about :
- the syllabus requirements
- lack of time to prepare music lessons
- not enough time in the teaching day
- lack of priority for music
- lack of personal musical experience
- and lack of adequate resources.
Please explain how you would advocate for and heighten awareness about the importance of assessment when speaking with your HOD about your concern in this regard.
- not enough time in the teaching day
- lack of priority for music
- lack of personal musical experience
- and lack of adequate resources.

WHAT POSSIBLY MADE SOME LEARNERS UNCOMFORTABLE DURING THESE ACTIVITY
- Other learners are very shy , they always feel ashamed to dance while other are watching
- Others might have a low self-esteem
- It might be that other they feel uncomfortable , due to their religion.
- or it is against their cultures
WHY WERE SOME LEARNERS UNCOMFORTABLE
- The song that was played was, has a different tune, different melody , the pitch is totally out to some of the learners
- The zulu language might also be problem to others
- The type of dancing could not accommodate all learners
- HOW CAN WE ACCOMODATE DIVERSE LEARNER PROFILES IN OUR CLASSROOM.
- The best way is to accommodate all culture , by translating a song to different languages so that all learners can understand what is said or sing.
- practice a diverse culture in your classroom by getting to know your student , maintain consistent communication , practice cultural sensitivity, incorporating diversity in the lesson plan
- express interest in the ethnic background of learners.
