Lesson planning is not one of my favourite tasks, but do understand the value of a well-thought plan to  ensure smooth and lesson outcomes to be met. It is important to plan in order for the learners to self discover, allowing them to use their own judgment. this will help their social and problem solving skills. It is vital to keep the outcome in your vision, and how you can assist them to reach that outcome with a fun and long lasting effect so they can store it in their long term memory and make the connections.

I personally enjoyed  this study unit. Confirming my thoughts and observations done in my Grade R class of 2 years back. We use to play classical music to the learners while they completed a math activity. it was noticeble how they were focussed and calm while completing it. Music integration is valuable to all ages to assist them to either grasp a new concept or to assist them to store info in their Longterm memory. music can help them with reading skills and so much more. I will definitely use music and arts in my classroom to develop their skills.

all children enjoy playing. whether it is freeplay or directed play. i will definitely include play in my daily routine to observe and setting the platform for the learners to play free. during these play sessions learners will have an opportunity to showcase their talents, and discover their peer's talents and even their own. it is important to keep in mind the play rules for the learners. it has to be clear of what is expected of them. during these sessions, learners will show elements of surprise, will have a state of mind, judging with their own perception. Using music in play will be to an advantage for their social wellbeing and emotionally.

I have always enjoyed music and how it is created. SU2 is definitely an introduction to music elements and how it is combined to create music. Using elements as texture, duration, quality, intensity and pitch could result in a masterpiece. one can group these tones together with a rhythm.  these concepts can be taught to ensure emotional, social and cognitive developmental skills and having fun while learning about music an rhythm.
