Music integrates all the subjects in the curriculum Mathematic, Language and Life Skills, through music a learner sings in various language that will assist in words pronunciation, in Life Skills music will integrate by increasing self-esteem when a learner is able to socialized with other learners dancing and singing in music activities. and again music also improves the Locomotor movement because children loves to move and dance , this fun activities for the to do. Music also integrate with mathematics by means of clapping and following the beat the learners enhances their counting abilities because they will count to make sure they do not skip a beat. music can also be integrated when learning about sense , when they feel the vibration made by the instrument , when they hear the sound or the song, when they see the instrument and when they can smell the wood of the instrument. Now it is clear that music should be in integrated in all the learning areas because it has the abilities to calm the learners in order for them relax and enjoy the lesson.

I am amazed just how much I have learned about music in this study unit, now I understand why some people study music and more importantly why children need to be taught music at school.
Music has so many benefits to the development of learners , Not only is music good for physical development but i have learned that children who are musically trained are good in memory skills , they also good in Mathematics , self discipline and also they are good in multi tasking , what more can a teacher ask for? Music also helps with physical development , it develops balance , gross motor skills and body awareness.
My personal favorite is the Cognitive Development ,where music can even help with the development of Vocabulary , music activities can be used to help learners learn their home language as well as other language where learners are singing.
Music activities can also be use for Social Development , when children are creating music with their peers , when they sing and dance in groups this help to building relationships with their peers .
Music can also be use to help learners communicate their emotions , when they sing a clap and dance song , a child who is sad will not look happy doing the clap and dance , that will help teacher to see that the child is not happy about something or the child is feeling sad.
What was most significant for me in this study unit is that music or rather teaching music in the foundation phase can help with all the elements of classroom environment and that in music only you can achieve all the learning outcome expected for learning and development of the learners.
