A social problem is a state of doing that impacts a large number of people in a negative way, depression is a social problem because it is a mental illness that affects the way the brain functions ,depression causes anger and irritability etc.it is caused by the death of a loved one, poverty ,stress etc. Depressed people end up committing suicide and that affects the people who were dependent on them in a negative way .people should seek professional help so that they will know how to deal with it properly . 

Smash and grab is a crime and ofcourse crime is a huge social problem ,victims of smash and grab are affected negatively when their belongings are forcefully taken from them and they are sometimes harmed by these perpetrators, smash and grab is caused by poverty like most of the other crimes. There should be police patroling the smash and grab hotspots .

Rape is a very insensitive serious crime that keeps on growing daily and it is also a global issue so it is definitely a social issue ,Rape is caused by people who think they are superior enough to sexually abuse other people. Rape causes a lot of social enxiety and depression to the victims. Rape perpetrators should get an intense sentencing without any possibilities of bail or parole .

Fast foods are loaded with a lot of unhealthy fat, low in nutrients , a lot of salt etc . This is a social problem because these cause diseases like stroke, high blood pressure and heart diseases, the lack of nutrition education is the course of this social problem,  people should be educated about it and be told about the risks of death.

HIV/AIDS is a social issue and the underdeveloped countries have the highest number of people who are infected, this proves that edudation is needed and alot of ways to alleviate poverty must be invented in order for the numbers to decrease.
