Give a thorough definition of poverty as suggested by experts.

Poverty is when an individual/individuals or a community have a lack of financial resources and the basic needs like food, clothing, a minimum standard of living. This means that basic human needs can not be met. Poverty also means that the level of income from employment is low. Poverty also causes that a person is not socially accepted because of the amount of money or material possessions is owned.

Benefits of poverty:

  • Helps with recycling of goods.
  • The people in poverty sometimes get caught in criminal crimes. And some studies that has been done says that crimes that is committed is by the poor.
  • When low-wage labour they use the poor that is willing-or, they that don’t have a choice to be unwilling-to do dirty work at low cost. The people in poverty do the work that other people don’t want to do at a low cost.
  •  The people that help individuals in poverty, deliver lots of jobs for the individuals that is employed by the programs.
  •  When people in poverty buy goods, like a day-old bread and used clothing that would have been thrown away.

  • Depression:

1: No/yes because it differ from person to person 

2: the fact that it effect many people but and It threatens what we believe society should be

3: not a personal choice. Is in genes/biology and can be causes by the physical world

4: it can not be solved fully because it differ from person to person, but we as a society should start looking around as for people how have a problem. And start the make a effort to help these people by simply ask how are they?

  • Smash-and-grab

1: Yes because it is a consistent threat in any public place. Values are taken away from people to have worked hard for it.

2: It is harmful to many people. People how this has happened before agree that it should be change.

3: It is not a personal choice or a person’s personality. It help some people but also harm others.

4: if we want to solve this problem, we need to make places safe again and it is a constant process.

  • Rape

1: Yes because it is a consistent threat.

2: It has harmed so many people (women and children). Must people are agreeing that the society should be changed for their and their children’s safety. 

3: It is not a personal choice or a person’s personality or in someone’s genes.

4: To solve this problem we need to do more orientation of what is right and wrong. We also need to make the law more harmful for the people how have committed a rape. We also need to make it more open and safe for people to talk, who when through it.

  • Fast food

1: No because it is a choice and it differ person to person.

2: It can be harmful to many people but it is a choice.

3: It is a personal choice, can be part of your personality or in your genes and or it can be the physical world that lets your think it is a goal to be achieved.

4: We can improve things by working to make them less wrong which in itself is a constant process.

  • HIV/AIDS

1: Yes because it is not a choice and it differ from person to person.

2: A lot of people is affected and it is very harmful to a lot of people.

3: It is not a personal choice or a person’s personality.

4: This social problem can’t be solved because it is to complex and a lot of people have it.
