- In the start of the semester I only knew that there is music but I didn't know the elements and values of music. I only knew the types of music and some music instruments. I had a little experience of music before I started learning more about music then I acquired more experience. From the start of semester I wasn't hungry for the music,I didn't have positive attitude towards music.
2. • What I find challenging is to create a music pattern, as I don't understand the notes of music and also integrating music into other subjects and creating a lesson plan or music activity using music concepts.
• Yes, because my music knowledge is improved by studying more about the music.
• The energy I had towards music will be the first thing I change then also the way I studied, I feel like I didn't study more and there are some of the things that need more focus.
3. • I found the content in music interesting and meaningful because I was able to learn and understand more about music. Also all the fun activities that are done in music I found them interesting and meaningful, because learners won't get bored singing songs with some activities to do.
• Making music lesson plan or activity, also integrating music into other subjects really challenged me . I still struggle to understand the music pattern.
•Nothing, all the content I learned from this module is valuable toy future teaching practice.

- There might be lack of musical and arts experience and lack of resources. Lack of time to prepare performing arts and music lessons and not having enough time in the teaching day. Teachers might not have confidence to teach performing arts and music.
- I will make sure that the HOD is aware of what learners can benefit from performing arts which is, it encourages learners to explore their emotions, expand their imagination and helps them develop their own unique voice. Also learners are able to express their selves and music boosts their self confindence. I will present all the positive things about performing arts to the HOD so that she can reconsider it.

- Some learners would'nt be happy that they are removed from the game and others don't have much of confidence to dance in front of people more especially boys. They use of a Zulu song while there are other learners who don't understand it.
- Because of the language in the song that they don't understand and some learners don't feel comfortable dancing in front of people or dancing to music that is against ther religions.
- Before doing anything ask everyone what they would like to do and who is not comfortable with it. I will change the type of music that I use because some learners are religious and also use the language that everyone understands.
- Use language that all learners understand in a song and use music that everyone is comfortable with. We must be aware of the things that we use and comfortability of other students.

1. Indigenous African Music, learners will learn more about their beliefs and how indigenous music is used to pass down stories or message from generation to generation.
2. yes, because they offer unique opportunity and needs for learners, learners have opportunity to learn new skills and acquire new knowledge. They are taught and given examples of music elements that the can use to create music with and there are examples of music activities. They are given opportunity to know all music approaches.
3. theyshould include pictures and videos to illustrate more about music activities. Give a brief explanation of how to do some music activities, because learners might not know what you are talking about so an explanationof what they are expected to do will help
Arts integration

1. Arts integration is not a waste of time in Foundation phase Education, because it supports learners academic achievements and socialisation. Arts integration provides the opportunity for teachers to promote and support the developmental needs of learners. Arts integration offers learners opportunity to engage in teaching and learning activities that are inclusive and fun, and it promotes learners creativity and abilities to imagine. It accommodates various learning styles and preference. Collaborative skills are practiced. Foundation phase learners are able to demonstrate their understanding through arts. Foundation phase learners develop problem solving and critical thinking skills through engagement in genuine learning activities. Arts integration can lead to transformative experience for both teachers and learners while being creative and imaginative capacities of the teachers and learners alike.
2. • I find Development through teaching and learning interesting, because we learn and teach everything about music, we learn and teach through, from, in, on, with music. Learners learn while listening to music, using instrument and dancing to the music. Musical concepts are experienced and learned.
• The value of arts integration I find it challenging, because I can't understand how mathematics and arts integration link together as they says that learners mathematics performance improved because of arts integration.

1.1 learning theories:
•Erikson's stage of psychosocial development which focuses on the learning relationship and influence of social interaction
•Piaget's cognitive development theory explains that children learn through interaction with the world and build new knowledge on existing skills and knowledge
•Vygotsky and the zone of proximal development focuses on the socio-cultural factors that influence cognitive development.
