1 children often want to create challenge and uncertain in the their play. some children they shy to sing in front of learners. sing a note or make a sound and invite children to match it, often children who are uncomfortable with singing are willing to go through the motions

2 learners have found that may be better at solving problems when they are in positive mood compared to when they are in a negative or natural mood. music that relaxing also helps students with stress and anxiety.

3 know the problem in depth, understanding every aspect of the problem.

1 Arts integration curriculum, the arts become the approach to teaching and vehicle for learning. students are engaged in dual learning objectives as they engage in the creative process to explore connections between art forms and other subject areas to gain greater crossing- cutting understandings. Arts integration requires that educators engage  in professional learning about arts standard and how to authentically connect the arts to the curriculum they teach. in the arts integration lesson, the ending assessment reflects the growth in both the content area and the arts area that was taught.

2 I interested in music notes that can help to teach fractions, changing instruments but playing the same song can help teach patterns, and using pitch can help with frequency and rations.

What could the possible reasons be that assessment is neglected in performing Arts and Music in the Foundation Phase?

Some of the challenges facing generalist teachers include, lack of knowledge and skills about the syllabus requirements, lack of time to prepare music lessons, not enough time in the teaching day. lack of priority for music, lack of personal musical experience and lack of adequate resources.

Explain how you would advocate for and heighten awareness about the important of assessment when speaking with your HOD about convers in the regards.

Good advocates use effective listening strategies, maintain eye contact, give frequent nonverbal feedback, and wait for a pause to ask clarifying questions, Finding out a students talents, interests, needs, and goals will give you the important necessary to advocate for them. Another way to ensure that an assessment is meaningful, of course, is to simply ask the students what they thought. design a survey after each major unit or assessment. encourage students to really focus on the requirements on a rubric.

How do music concepts and related experiences related to life skills, Mathematics and language education

Music is a rich context in which educators can develop children's mathematics language and concepts. Shilling (2002) suggests that, through a classification of sounds and movement, children's mathematical understanding and skills are enhanced. I identifies a strong link between the order, timing, beat and rhythm of music and attributes of mathematics such as counting, sequencing and understanding time and order.

The integration of music into children's mathematical and physical activities  supports and enables teachers to make learning both music and mathematics more meaningful for the children. Music is a very helpful when it comes to learning mathematics or any other academic area.

I got a lot of information about music that I didn't know from the start to the end. I enjoyed learning about music and I end up know that music helps to develop the mind. music is important and easy to learn because we do it every where in the classroom, home, and at church.

In my individual reflection I learn that music is a fantastic way to communicate with others, not only to learn to communicate about music, but I also learn communicate through music. Every student has different motivation for learning music and every students has different ways of learning new things. The challenge is to be flexible and cater to the students learning style.

I am very interested to listen the music. nothing can I change because I really enjoy the music

Goal that i have for my self for the future are to ensure positive reinforcement, include as much interactive and engaging lesson in my teaching , and ensure fairness for rules and expectations for all students and classes. Music education is an important aspect of providing children with a well-rounded education.

what would the possible reasons be that assessment is neglected in performing arts and music in the foundation phase

Assessment for learning is the process whereby the teacher periodically records children's progress and achievements for reporting to parents and other stakeholders. it also help teachers and learners to focus on three key questions that are important in the assessment. it usually takes place in the day minute by minute interaction between the teacher and the learner , every thing the learners do, say and make, ask questions working on independently.

explain how you would advocate for and heighten awareness about the importance of  assessment when speaking with your HOD about your concerns in this regards.

Todays students need to know not only the basic reading and arithmetic skills, but also skills that will allow them to face a world that is continually changing. They must be able to think critically, to analyze, and to make inferences. Changes in the skills base and knowledge our students need require new learning goals, these new learning goals change the relationships between assessment and instruction. Teachers need to take an active role in making decisions about the purpose of assessment and the content that is being assessed.

Help educators set standards- what perform demonstrate understanding, evaluate progress, relates to a students progress, motivates performance.

This approach to teaching is grounded in the belief that learning is actively built, experiential, evolving, collaborative, problem-solving, and reflective. The belief are aligned with current about the nature of learning theory. Constructivist practices that align with arts integration practice include.

. Drawing on students prior knowledge

. Providing active hands-on learning with authentic problems of students to solve in divergent ways.

. Arranging opportunities for students to learn from each other to enrich their understandings.

. Engaging students in reflection about what they learn, how they learned it, and what it means to them.

. Using student assessment of their own and peers' work as part of the learning experience.

. Providing opportunities for students to revise and improve their work and  building a positive classroom environment where students are encouraged and supported to take risk, explore possibilities, and where a social , cooperative learning community is created and nurture.

Aspects of music integration in the Foundation Phase

Teaching and learning about music - teaching and learning about music happens when theoretical knowledge about music is shared with learners.

Teaching and learning from music - teaching and learning from music cannot always be predetermined by using a specific teaching method or music activity.

Teaching and learning on music - when activities are directly linked  to the musical concepts, teaching and learning on music takes place.

Teaching and learning with music - when activity are accompanied by music, even though there are on direct link to music concepts, teaching and learning with music takes place.

Teaching and learning in music - teaching and learning in music takes place when musical concepts are experienced and reinforced.

Teaching and learning through music - teaching and learning through music happens when musical activities work together in order to reach a non-musical goal.

In the early grades, transitions are a little harder to set because the learners are still learning what the concept of a minute is and what one feels like. A song can improve transition because it becomes a behaviour cue. learners grow accustomed to the length of the song or part of a song and internalize the time they have to move on to the next task, which help them begin to take responsibility for their own learning.

Many of us known that music will get you up and moving. using songs for movement is a great method to provide students with a brain , especially in the foundation phase grades. There are many resources already available to help create educational brain.

Learners with physical impairments can benefit from listing to music because doing so helps with concentration and influences their movements. Smooth music will result in movements with a flow, while fast dance music are also related to life skills

Mathematics can be challenging for students to understand because the concepts are abstract which is the main reason it important to provide visuals and manipulative to learners when first teaching a concepts. Music notes can help teach fractions, changing instruments but playing the same song can help teach patterns, and using pitch can help with frequency and rations. I love music.
