I learned a lot about music as a Lskm 221 student since we focused solely on music from the beginning to the end of the semester. I used to think I knew what music was, but after taking this module, I'm not so sure. I used to think I knew a lot about music, but now I think I'm pretty well-equipped with new information about music education.
What I found tough was that several concepts, particularly music principles, were difficult to grasp and implement, particularly the music game.
Individual reflections were meaningful to me, yes? Because I was able to determine which topics I knew more about and which ones I needed to study more about and concentrate on.
What I found fascinating was, of course, learning content and expressing my opinions with others (group members)
Music and play in the foundation period is extremely important since it influences and benefits learners in a variety of ways, to name a few. Supports cognitive, physical, social, and emotional growth and development.

The other learner was not pleased with the words employed. It was a problem for him to grasp, and the other one was uncomfortable dancing in front of the males since she was not used to it and because it was against their culture and religion.
Other students struggled to comprehend the language spoken, while others were uncomfortable dancing in front of the boys since it was against their culture.
When utilizing a different language, the teacher should translate to the entire class so that everyone can comprehend. He or she should get to know his or her students better by inquiring about their backgrounds, cultures, and religions, as this will help them avoid such situations.

Through arts integration activities, foundation phase students can assimilate new knowledge and abilities by participating in authentic activities with real-life applicability. Arts integration techniques assist students because they allow them to emphasize in-depth understanding of new concepts and talents on a practical level before moving on to abstract symbols.
Teaching and learning strategies that target many outcomes at once while allowing students to demonstrate their understanding of topics and abilities through arts integration. Arts integration is a teaching style that promotes active engagement in all aspects of teaching and learning.
a teaching and learning philosophy that use a creative inquiry-based process to foster personal connection and depth in the classroom. The majority of people consider art in education to be a luxury and do not recognize its value; they do not believe that creative activities like as painting, dancing, or learning to play music are vital. These activities aid in the development of a child's motor skills, language, and cognitive abilities. Mathematics, languages, and science are not the only topics that should be prioritized; art should be prioritized as well.
I'd would enlighten the HOD by showing the results and research from other schools that show how art has improved students' language skills. When students make art or simply talk about it, they have opportunities to learn words for colors, shapes, and actions. Children in the Foundation Phase can use descriptive terms to talk about their own creations. It will aid in the development of their decision-making abilities, as well as their problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities. Making decisions and choices while creating a work of art extends over into other aspects of life.
Creativity has a chance to bloom if they are investigating, thinking, experimenting, and testing new ideas. It will help them perform better in school. Children who participate in the arts on a regular basis are more likely than those who do not to be recognized for academic accomplishment, to participate in a math and science fair, or to win an award for writing an essay or poetry. Art improves not only everything, but it also improves a child's mood and lowers the risk of depression.
holistic development and music

Putting it all together, I discovered a number of fascinating things. First and foremost, I learned about foundation phase learners' development stages, which comprise Erikson's stages of psychological development and Piaget's Cognitive Development Theory, which covers Pre-operational and Concrete operational stages. Zone of Proximal Development and Vygotsky
music has a significant impact on foundation phase learners for a variety of reasons, including the enhancement and creativity. music ignites all areas of child development and skills for schools readiness , including intellectual, social emotional , motor , language and overall literacy.
holistic development is a learning strategy that stresses the importance of children's physical , emotional , and psychological well-being particulary in the early years.
